Tornado Warning System
I thought of a way to use cell phones to warn of an oncoming tornado. It also would be a better way to warn students of a campus shooter.
Imagine my surprise when I was told that the exact feature I was inventing is already in most cell phone towers.
It is called "cellular broadcast" and many states have requested that the feature be enabled.
The cell phone providers have refused to enable the software.
